DIY Line Tracking Smart Car
The LM393 comparator in conjunction with two photosensitive resistors enables rapid and sensitive control in an intelligent tracking car. This system detects imbalances, such as pressure on a black runway, immediately stopping one side of the motor while accelerating the other, correcting the car’s direction and ensuring precise navigation. To simplify this complex principle, assembly begins with a digital circuit for the intelligent tracking car, allowing users to gradually become familiar with mechanical and electronic principles including photocells, voltage comparators, and motor drive circuits.
The photosensitive resistance device detects external light intensity, influencing the motor’s actions based on the level of light detected. Meanwhile, the LM393 comparator integrated circuit consists of two independent precision voltage comparators, adjusting the output voltage based on the input. The car’s DC motor, integrated with gear reduction, ensures smooth control and prevents over-speeding. Assembly involves basic welding of circuit components, followed by mechanical assembly, installation of opto-electronic circuits, and vehicle debugging. Clear assembly instructions are provided, guiding users through the process of creating an intelligent tracking car, with options for additional customization using black electrical tape for varied track designs.
